Lucy lawless in concert at the roxy, los angeles and the xena convention, burbank, jan 2007
This was originally going to be a space for all my convention pictures, but that changed when I saw most of them were rubbish! Being in the cheap seats AND trying to cope with crappy lighting was a bit of a problem, but never mind. The best shots I got were at Lucy's concert so I thought I'd put those up, as well as any con ones that might be ok. Sorry for the lack of Renee pictures, they were REALLY bad!
Best parts of the weekend (In no particular order).....
No. 1 RETURN OF THE CLAIRE!!! Still one of the best guests ever, she has the crowd roaring with laughter constantly and is a joy to watch. Welcome back Claire.
No. 2 LUCY'S SHOW. Wow, did she rock the Roxy! I was pretty jetlagged and slowly sliding down the wall into a deep slumber, butwhen Lucy came out I woke up pretty quickly! Now i know...next time I'm jetlagged just call Lucy to sing at me!
No. 3 MICHAEL AND JENNIFER'S CABARET. These two never fail to impress me with there awesome singing and entertaining skills. If they lived in London or New York they'd surely be top Broadway or West End stars!
Of course, everyone who appeared did their bit to make it a superb weekend, so roll on 2008! I just wish it was in Vegas rather than Burbank. Let's face it, there's not a lot to do outside of the hotel if you don't have a car! How DID Burbank win that poll on Creation's site?
Just click the link buttons in the top left corner to find the pictures. Instead of doing our usual thing of flying back to London right after the convention, we took a Mexican Riviera cruise. The link to those pictures in also on the left hand side.
Now, a couple of years ago I made my first - and only - Xena music video. My friend Michaela was good enough to host in on her great site - http://www.masqueweb.net/ . I've now discovered how to put it up here too so if you've not seen it before, let me know what you think! Just click the link in the menu. Thanks!
After the convention we went on a cruise down to the Mexican Riviera. I've linked the website for that to this one, so if you're interested, the link is on the top left hand side.
